We are a group of Silver Mesa parents who want what is best for our school staff, teachers and students. We believe this can be achieved through a PTO. The district has a policy allowing parents a vote. We first must complete a Notice of Intent and petition and then we will be allowed a vote. This blog will help educate, inform and unite through this process. Keep updated on what is going on here. UPDATE: You should have received a ballot in the mail. If you didn't and want to vote, contact the district. We encourage everyone to study both organizations and vote for the group they believe best represents their ideals.

Update Your Mailing Address

We have exciting news!!
We just submitted our Notice of Intent (NOI) with the district. It still needs to go through the approval process, but by all indications it should be approved. Once we get the go ahead then we can start getting signatures on the petition.

The petition isn't a vote for a particular group, it is just indicating that a vote should be held. What a neat opportunity we have to look forward to. A vote and a voice is what all parents deserve and will get.

When it is time to vote, ballots will be mailed out to the address parents have on record with the district. If you want the opportunity to vote make sure your address is correct with the district.
